This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile VPN application provided by Shadowrocket VPN (the 'App', 'Service', or 'we') handles personal information. The Service is provided as is, and we protect privacy and data security within the scope described here.

When you download and launch the App, we collect operational data necessary to provide the Service, including but not limited to Internet Protocol (IP) address, device operating system version, in-app paths, and session duration. To recommend better routes, we may collect approximate device location information for: 1. node recommendations based on Shadowrocket VPN's network distribution; 2. performance optimization through anonymized aggregate connection trends; 3. service communications such as important updates, security notices, or subscription reminders sent to your reserved email or username. Sensitive data is retained and processed only as necessary and in accordance with this policy.

We only transmit aggregated anonymized data to necessary third-party partners, such as Google Play Services and Firebase, to support crash analysis and feature improvement. Except in the following cases, we do not share personal information with third parties: 1. compliance with legal process or mandatory regulatory requirements; 2. necessity to protect user safety or investigate fraud; 3. cooperation with entrusted service providers bound by confidentiality obligations. If you wish to stop data collection, uninstall the App through the standard mobile device process. After uninstallation, the App will no longer generate new collection events.

User-provided data will be properly kept during the service validity period and for a reasonable grace period thereafter. In addition, this App strictly prohibits use by minors under the age of 13. We will not intentionally solicit any data from this group, and upon discovering the mistaken collection of such information, we will immediately initiate permanent deletion procedures.
